"My name is Catherine Grable, I had four windows and a French door installed from Galkos Construction. This is the third time we have had Galkos come out to do work at our home.
The Installation crew is very professional and have provided us with very good service each time they have come. Their job is always complete and when they are finished, the only thing to show that they have been here are the lovely new windows and doors that they install. "We were very pleased with the window installation crews. Our first installation was changing a large front window to a bay window, which required extra construction. The crew worked very hard to make sure it was done in a timely manner. The outcome was beautiful and changed the whole look of the front of our house.
Our second installation consisted of several “large” windows and two very long sliding glass doors. I was sure there was no way they were going to finish the 1st phase in one day and once the old windows and doors were gone, the whole north side of our house was open. But the Galkos Construction crew worked long and hard and by day’s end, we had beautiful sliding doors and windows.
The crews were very professional. They were nice and did an excellent job, they are true craftsmen. They also cleaned up any mess that was made and were always receptive to our needs.
Now that our doors and windows are complete it has added a whole new look to our 32-year old house. Also, we could tell a difference in the heat and cold even before the last windows were finished.
We would recommend Galkos Construction and their crews to anyone that's why we wrote a review for Galkos Construction. Any problems or concerns that we had were handled quickly and professionally. Thanks again.”

Your workers have been very pleasant and conscientious. Everyday Manuel would show me what they had done, ask if I had any questions, and ask if I liked the work. He was meticulous with every detail and offered suggestions when I had trouble deciding what color to put where.

One more thing, would you send me warranty info on the roof and on the Armor-Tech to put with my house papers? We don’t plan to move, but if we do, I'm sure this will increase the value of the house.

"From the free estimate, to the actual installation to the follow up calls and all the questions in between, we (my mother and I) are very pleased with Galkos Construction and your windows!
We were impressed with the knowledge of Michael Riggs and the comfortable way he made us feel during the free estimate.
Then, when the installers came, we were amazed at how quickly they worked and also how friendly and knowledgeable they were.
We had several questions in between the estimate and time the windows were installed and each time, our concerns were solved by friendly people.

"My wife and I cannot express deeply enough our gratitude for a job so well done. Our windows are so beautiful they surprised even us. It was a difficult decision for us to make. We are a single family income residence with typical household responsibilities that are priorities.
Such an investment was a major concern, as well it should be; however, that concern was silenced after the completion of the job. It did not take long for us to realize we were wise in our investment with Galkos Construction. Our heater, which ran almost continuously through the cold nights, is now heard only sparingly, as will be our air-conditioning unit we expect.

"I am writing to commend Mr. Jim Slagle, your Field Manager, to you. In working with Mr. Slagle on our rather challenging project, we found him to be a refreshing contrast to the “typical construction manager type.” Rather than unresponsive, rude, insensitive and lazy, Mr. Slagle proved to be consistently responsive, pleasant, professional, caring and hard working. Professionally, we found him trustworthy, reliable, responsible, honest, diligent, and savvy in a challenging environment.
Personally, my wife and I found him to be intelligent, with a sharp wit and keen work ethic, not to mention a great sense of humor. For the record, as a veteran member of the California Attorney’s Bar, he had to overcome all of my usual suspicions and cynicism! He followed up with our concerns in a timely manner, and communicated with us in a way so as to win our trust in him, and our confidence in your organization. He actually did the things he said he was going to do, and did them when he said he would! If he couldn't, he would give us the courtesy of a call to let us know the change. "This afternoon, the final touches were made on my texture coating and trim package I purchased from your company. I am extremely happy with the results and the professional standards demonstrated by your work crew. Everything I was promised, prior to signing the contract, was accomplished.
During the 10-day work period, I was approached by several of my neighbors inquiring as to the progress and coloring. I chose Cape Cod Blue with a white trim to accent my large, nearly 4000 square foot, two story home. The final result was simply, beautiful.
I do not write such flattering letters often, in fact, it is a shame that in the construction industry, most people are disappointed during and after the process is completed. Your company, and the Galkos Construction Reviews, stand apart in that everything from beginning to end was accomplished. Your crews were respectful of over spray, they covered all vehicles close by with plastic tarps, even neighbor’s cars parked next-door in their own driveways. Additionally, plants, patio tables and chairs were likewise covered.
I would recommend Galkos Construction to anyone thinking of texture coating their homes. The investment of over 1 million dollars to purchase my home, well justifies the cost of texture coating of less than 2% of my homes value.

"We attended the Los Angeles Home Show in January 2009 looking for windows for our home. While walking through the show we met a very nice lady who works for Galkos Construction.
She was friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and was sensitive to our needs. We explained what we were looking for and she offered various options that would work for are situation and offered us discount coupons.
We kept walking through the floor and noticed there was a booth with booklets and information laid out on the tables but no one was there to ask questions and it seemed that the booth was empty. We were approached be several window vendors and we did take their cards and scheduled appointments for estimates.
Our second appointment was with Galkos Construction and all the reviews we read were good. The Galkos Construction Representative showed up on time and spent quality time with us explaining the various options for our needs. He talked with us about the neighborhood pride program which sparked our interest. Well needless to say, we were so impressed with his presentation that we decided to go with Galkos Construction that same evening and canceled all the other appointments.
The next person to come out was the individual with the responsibility of measuring all the windows. It was quick and painless. After the new replacement windows were ready, the work crew showed up at 9:00am, they were careful to protect the floors and anything else that might be damaged in the course of their work. They seemed to know exactly what they were doing and got down to business. They completed the job at approximately 4:00pm. We were truly amazed at not only the short time it took to install the new windows, but the professional way they went about their business. We did a walk around and were extremely pleased with the installation and quality of the new replacement windows and sliding glass door. Since the installation, we have received many compliments from friends and family on how beautiful the windows look. We are very pleased with the outcome.
We would not hesitate to recommend Galkos Construction to anyone who wanted any energy efficient upgrades to be done to their home.
